Default reactive hypoglycemia ...

So I have been dealing with low blood sugar since I was 16... I have had two children and no major battles with controlling my sugar until the past year. I am a middle school teacher and almost completely lost my vision one day during class. My school nurse thought I was having a stroke because my blood pressure was extraordinarily high. Then i started passing out Like three times a week. Thousands of dollars tests later... Reactive hypoglycemia, and nothing but diet to control it ... Did anyone have this happen before they turned into a full fledged diabetic? My bg can go from 175 to 50 in 8 minutes flat. I am at a loss. My doctor says protein and truly I have to eat like 90 grams a day to stay upright .. Anyone have experience with this kind of thing? Any good hints. I am only 29 and I am struggling physically and emotionally trying to deal with this.
