hello! im only 14, but i ised to be in the same position. currently im on novolog and lantus as well and its a lot better. (considering i was previously on novolog and levemir) i know having only a little amount of carbs wouldnt seem too too bad. however, depending on what your daughter is eating and the time of day, will
still bring her numbers up a lot, as you can see! foods like pasta, bread, and bagels seem to really do that, even if its just a little bit. other foods like vegetables, juice, or fruits are only temporary, we'll bring you up, and then they'll fall back again since its usually natural sugars. hope i didnt get too off topic, and i hope i helped!
