Some people find that eating a very low carb snack, before going to bed, will give the body something to work on during the night. This in turn lowers the fasting blood glucose level by eliminating the "liver dump" to start the morning. A handful of almonds works for me and it may work for you as well.

I will have to agree with your doctor, you must be doing something right. I am sure that your numbers probably look like this everyday, based on your A1c results. Congratulations! You are doing well.
