I am not sure that I am following you. When starting up the GB App there is no sync or data upload. The sync is initiated by the user, when they tap 'Quick Sync' or 'Sync All Logs', from the App and usually after they have input data to upload.

After re-reading your post, it appears that you may be referencing the time involved in opening or initiating the GB App itself. If this is the case, I just checked mine and it takes between 4-5 seconds for the GB App to open. The time involved is not normally dependent on the 3g or wifi connection. If you are experiencing problems with actuation, I would advise checking to see if you have upgraded your hand-held device to the latest iOS5 Software, this may very well be your problem.
