Hi alybrown,
I got my T1 at 36, my brother at 34. There are no certainties in life with T1, both me and my brother worked out plenty, eat right and took great care. As we got T1 we both took it with a shoulder shrug, it could have been worse or something else. As the treatment today is manageable there is not much holding one back. We live as we used to, eat what we used to except for the injections. I’m also pushing 9-10 months right now (diagnosed in dec -10), and I’m feeling like I’ve done this my whole life. In the end, there is so many people in the world who struggle harder than I do, so I just enjoy my days to the fullest. Keep up the good work and I hope you get some relief with the pump.
