I've driven my blood sugar to an even low and therefore loose my "hypo" feelings a bit. I can get as low as 2.6 and still not feel it. On the other hand, if I get my blood sugar up to say 8-9 and it then quickly drops back to 5.5 and there around I feel hypo. It's always the quick drop whatever "high" level I fall from. So, it’s a good thing to care and keep the numbers low, but not in a way that you jeopardize your "feel" for hypos. Once I nearly went to bed with a 2.8 without feeling it, and as I normally fall during sleep it could have ended up badly.
