I am assuming that you have seen your doctor recently and that you had blood work done. Did he happen to tell you what your current A1c is?
They will not be able to bring your A1c down substantially from 12.1% from 7/12 to 7/21. However, it may be down some now, depending on the date of your last office visit and what your A1c was at that time.
You can help things along greatly by changing your diet, if needed, and counting carbs. Please take a look at the first three threads in the T2 Section.
