Have you entered your email address under: My Info; Emails; so that you can send the same email to yourself, to make sure that it is sending the emails?
Make sure that the information in your account information is the same as your iPhone under: Settings; Account Info.
Make sure that you are connected to a WiFi connection and make sure that you can send emails, from your iPad, using your Mail Function.
