It's good to have friends!

I have had the "false" hypos; this usually happens when your blood sugar has been high, for some time (ie when you were first diagnosed), and your body is accustomed to the high blood sugar levels. Once you get your blood sugars in a normal range (ie in better control), your body will get used to the "normal" lower blood sugar levels and the "false" hypos will generally subside.
