Type 1 at age 36. After much assumption that I was type 2 by Doctors. Had to insist they start me on insulin while they waited for tests to come back. Blood sugar was in 800's.when results came back as type 1 doc says to me "you are type 1"! I said I hate to say I told you so but...
Amazingly no one even showed me how to give myself shots, just gave me scripts and sent me on my way. Thank God for the Internet where I learned how to give myself injections.
Today I have a pump and a new Doctor :-)
