Hi I was experiencing same fluctuating blood sugars, terrible mood swings, menstrual flooding and night sweats which weren't hypos! Then Drs offered me the mareena (spelling?) coil which took time to adjust to with higher insulin requirements but now free of all meno symptoms! It took 12 months for it to stop monthly menstruation but now feel fantastic! Drs recommended it to me for diabetics in this situation or I was heading for op!
