#43: A Great Deal
I had my first client meeting at my new job yesterday, so that meant I had to go out and buy a suit. You’d think by now I would have a suit, but I don’t. I bought one from H & M last spring but managed to lose the pants (!) sometime in the last year. I didn’t wear a suit to my interview last fall, instead just opting for a business casual look. In any event, at my new job I’m required to be a little more conservative and professional, so I dragged my boyfriend to JC Penny’s over the weekend to buy something on the cheap. Not only did I find a suit that had pants with
pockets (to people who use insulin pumps, pockets on business wear is a GODSEND), I also bought a pair of pants, a cute top and a purple coat that was 80% off!
SCORE!
#44: A Clean Room
On Sunday, I had some time to myself in the afternoon, so I decided it was time to tackle the disaster area that was my room. I have never been a clean, organized person, but after a few days, there’s only so much I can handle. Not only that, but living in Manhattan means I have a fairly small room, and a messy room means it feels even smaller. Getting the crap out meant that my room feels ten times bigger, I know where everything is, and I am not constantly having receipts and test strips stuck to the bottom of my feet!
