Well, I enjoy Dark, Very Dark 80% or better pure cacao, by favorite is Dagoba Eclipse Dark Chocolate 87% Cacao. Now I do not eat but a 1/5th of the bar(2 rectangles worth) with my nightly decaf espresso. If you like very dark chocolate, it isn't that bad for you, carb-wise...Yes it does have a lot of fat, but if it really has a high percentage of cacao then the fiber and protein should be high and the sugars at 50% or less of the carbs. Unfortunately hot processing chocolate destroys alot of the antioxidants but still should retain a good amount.
I have found some naturally dried cacao powder that is not heat processed.
Example: The Lindt Excellence Supreme Dark Chocolate 90% Cacao Bar nutrition info: 170 Cal(153 fat) Fat 17g, SatFat 9g, Carb 4g, Fiber 2g, Sugars 2g, Protein 3g. And that is per serving of 3 squares.
I work the calories into my daily plan as well as the fat and of course I would not even eat the 3 squares but only 1.
