Good for you! Wonderful attitude - my daughter is type 1 and she's only 3
We are trying to bring her up with an - so I've got diabetes... So what! - attitude.
It's hard enough for her to deal with the diabetes - to get depressed on top of that would be truly awful.
Surround yourself with good people and don't let the diabetes hold you back!
