I was diagnosed w/GD at 10 wks pregnancy (2 wks ago). This is my 2nd pregnancy and Type 2 diabetes runs in my family. I never had GD before and my docs are telling me that I may have Type 2 prior to the conception of my 2nd child so they order A1C blood work. Anyway, I test my BGL (blood glucose level) 4 times a day and I don't think I will EVER get use to it! But having a really fine needle helps, so you should try to see if that helps. Good luck to you!
