I have a Dexcom G5 CGM works very well. The system as delivered comes with a receiver, transmitter and 8 base units. I don't know much about other manufacturers but can tell you I'm very satisfied with this particular unit. The app that can also be downloaded to a smart phone and sharing capabilities are a big plus. There's also an app by Dexcom called clarity which can be used to track your glucose levels over a 14 day period. You can print reports and also allow your Dr. to track your levels from his computer if you wish to. I had actually posted a similar thread awhile back when I was looking for info on cgm's. You'd have to get a Drs. prescription to get one. If you're prone to hypoglycemia these units can be extremely helpful. I know this post is somewhat old and I'm not sure if you already have a CGM but if you're still looking I hope this information is helpful. Stay Well.
