When you sleep your body gets a chance to rest, your muscles relax so there is less requirement for energy to get to your muscles and your BS is regulated better. Any excess BS will be ejected out through your bladder, hence why your morning urine sample will show a higher concentration of glucose.

If you are not sleeping a lot then your body is keeping the glucose in your blood so that it is there if your body needs it.

Hope this helps
