My problem is similar to your problem. I am a teacher as well, and I started passing out shortly after having blurry vision. ( at school, in driveway, at food lion) I got to the point that I could not focus on anything. After 4 months of different tests, the doctor found my insulin levels were 4 times what they should be, and after having a high blood sugar, the excess insulin was causing a fast drop causing me to pass out. The test that found this problem was the 4 hour blood glucose test also testing insulin levels so doctor could see the correlation between the two. After putting me on Victoza to control insulin release, I felt like a normal person again. I still go low every now and then, but I have not passed out since I've been on the victoza.
