I was the same when I was diagnosed and more or less ignored it for several years. Then my toes started to tingle and hurt not to mention my doctor's warnings grew sterner which eventually led me to acceptance and now I'm under control. Losing 80 pounds helped me to eliminate some of the meds but genetics is cruel (my mother is Type 2). Don't wait until it's too late. The sooner you accept it and take action the better your results can be. As Dano said, there are plenty of other threads on the subject so take a look and be encouraged. The fact you even posted here means you must be concerned!
