Default time to change

13 years ago I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I like alot of you did great the first two years then had a diabetic advice nurse tell me to loosen up or I would burn out soon. I am a person who sees things as black or white, no gray, her advice made me give up. I don't know how to be nonchalant about diabetes. The result is that now I am on metformin, slow and fast acting insulin and haven't been serious with taking my insulin as I should. The result is that I now have 3 hemorrhages in my left eye. Being off for the summer has given me the chance to get things right. With my new doctors help I am now getting enough insulin to last through the month and am testing regularly and taking my insulin as I am suppose to. This morning my waking blood sugar was 139! I am checking the results of different food on my blood sugar and when I go back to teachjg in the fall will have a plan in place to make sure I am given the time at lunch to test and take my shot as I am suppose to! Thanks for listening and I welcome creative not destructive criticism.
