I was diagnosed in 2003 with Type 2 diabetes. I was controlling it with oral medication, diet and exercise. In June 2008, I found out my husband and I were pregnant, a complete surprise. I was taken off the oral medication and put on insulin injections, and than I went to the insulin pump. I'm in LOVE with my insulin pump.
Type 2 diabetes runs in my family. My mother was diagnosed in 1997 and I have 2 uncles, one on my mom's side and one on my dad's side that have type 2 diabetes.
