power-walking
I'm not sure just how overweight you are, but nobody wants to jog on a treadmill. Start out small, start with power-walking or speed-walking, pump your arms, set small goals, but ones that can be achieved.
Maybe set a goal of walking 4x a week and expand it from there. if you don't like to workout alone, find a friend...or conversely, some people enjoy working out alone, either way, do what works for you.
