Most any insulin will cause some weight gain. My long term insulin is Levemir and I also take a short acting insulin called Novolog. I count carbs due to having to take the Novolog. This has helped me not only with my insulin dosage but to loose weight as well. I have lost about 60 lbs so far. Maybe the carb counting would help you as well.
