I would check it out - I've been on a pump since 2005 and I love it, find that it's MUCH easier than injections. As someone else said, it's not connected to you at all times - very easy to remove whenever you need, and I wear mine in my bra 9 times out of 10, or in the pocket of my jeans - I almost always forget I have it on, and it's way easier to bolus with a few presses of buttons than taking out a syringe and vial or a pen. It also does all the math for you - all you have to do is put in your BG or carbs, and you can customize the ratios depending on time of day, as well as your basal patterns. I honestly don't know a single person who has switched to a pump and regretted it. I've been on the Deltec Cozmo (no longer made), Medtronic (not waterproof) and now I'm on Animas and I love it - much more durable and it's wonderful to be able to swim and kayak with your pump and not worry about it getting wet.
