Hi I just downloaded the Glucose Buddy App to my phone in order to keep up with my diabetes information. I am a medically induced diabetic. Although I am very familiar with diabetes as it has run in my family for quite some time. I find the GB very helpful in keeping me balanced. I look forward to learning from others what is a good diet to go by in order to eventually come off insulin shots. The medication that I'm currently on is what causes me to have to use insulin instead of a pill. Anyone have a diet that they follow that helps with that would greatly be appreciated.
I currently eat a bowl of cherrios with fruit and a cup of milk. Or a bowl of oatmeal with a spoon of peanut butter for protein for breakfast. Although I love sweets I've done pretty well staying away from them. The problem is the family continues to eat them without thinking of me. But I'll drink water or have a cup of decaf coffee with 1/2 & 1/2 as my sweet. Oh I use sugar free syrup to sweeten the coffee. Anyone have any sweet muffin ideas that I could use as my "cookie"? Thanks in advance. Melani
