couple of ideas:

1. do the sets go in at 90 degrees or 45 degrees? if it's 45 degrees, you might want to try one that goes in 90 degrees for better absorption

2. you might be putting the set into scar tissue which will affect absorption. even if you are new to the pump/infusion sets, if you're placing it in a spot where you have injected quite a bit, you might find that placing it in a "new" spot (back of the hips/above the butt or in the back of the arm) might work better.

it could even be a case of the canula getting "kinked" or "bent" - this happens from time to time, but isn't too common. it probably happens to me a couple of times a year.
