If all my numbers are in range for weeks and I decide to splurge one day and drive up my glucose levels for the day, that's not going to drastically affect my average. Is it my A1c number that matters most, or the day-to-day, hour-to-hour glucose levels?
Try to avoid spikes, never splurge, and your average will come down and so will your A1C.
