Blood is not normally thick. It would be interesting to know what your blood surgar level is when you experience the thicker blood. Blood can be thick and thickens as the blood sugars rise. The blood is thickest when the blood sugars are very high, around the 600+ range. The consistency, at or near this point, is about like syrup.
