I have used minimed for almost 10 years now, and the only reason. I've stayed this long is because they have the only pump with integrated CGM. Their customer service agents are most helpful when my pump is dead and needs replacing, but otherwise I can tell them more about my pump than they can. I've managed to kill 4 in as many years- one with so-called 'static', one with sweat, one from running a marathon in the rain, and only one from actually being legitimatley stupid and hopping in a lake without remembering to disconnect.
My next pump willl definitely be waterproof, even if it doesn't have a CGM option.
Maybe I'm picky, but I also want to be able to look up and pay my account balance online, although I will give them credit for their most recent website upgrade- it's much more user-friendly than it used to be.
Carelink- their online program that downloads info off your pump- makes some useful reports but is a little cumbersome.

The other best reason for staying with them is that with so many other minced users, I've got a pretty good local supply network and on multiple occasions I've either loaned out or borrowed supplies from local minimed users in a pinch.

I suspect all companies and pps have their upsides and downsides, but I'm planning to jump ship as soon as my insurance will help cover a new one.
