Can't add high bgs

When entering bgs higher than 500, I got an error message. Please advise...

500 in GB is the max. Please consider working very hard to lower your blood sugar readings.

Again, not being able to log your BG (however high it might be) is neither inspiring nor useful for a diabetes logging tool at the end of the day :(

This is a bug/problem that needs to be fixed!

Mines been as high as 1700, of course I was in a coma at that point, but it has been as high as 800 or so (in the emergency room) and I've been conscious.

My meter stops at 500, but i agree...you should be able to record your results no matter what they are.

Maximum Allowable BG Value

I have seen 1,600 mg/dl blood sugar readings, with consciousness, when my son was first diagnosed. That being said, I am sure that he could have cared less if he was able to input this number into the GB App, while he was fighting for his life.

It is true that the maximum reading for most meters in the US is 600 mg/dl and that any blood sugar reading, higher than that, must be obtained through laboratory analysis. As for the Maximum Allowable BG Value for the GlucoseBuddy App, there are several things to consider:

1. If the default Maximum Allowable BG Value is raised to 600 mg/dl or even 1,000 mg/dl; Will the default upper range of the in-app Graph be raised to a higher number than the current default of 450? If this is the case, then I would be forced to vote NO, since I feel that the upper level default is too high as it is.

2. If the default Maximum Allowable BG Value is raised to 600 mg/dl or even 1,000 mg/dl and the default upper range of the in-app Graph could be user set or an average default upper range, for the last several months, could be calculated by the App then I vote YES.

This is just my $0.02 worth and I am sure that other opinions will vary. :)

IMO the range should mirror the ranges of most modern devices. If that is 600 then this app should record it.
This app is the most useful tool I have ever used to record my sugars & although I hope I will never get that high, I would like to record it if It does
