Hello everyone I am new to this message board. I am a type 2 diabetic and trying to get my A1C under control. I take Metformin and Lantus insulin.

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.

I justed started yesterday. I'm new to this as well. My gf recommended it. I am a Type 2 diabetic. I started off during my pregnancy in 1990. By 1999 I was diagnosed as a diabetic. I've yo yo up n down with my numbers, meds and diets. I too am taking Lantus and Trulicity. My gf is in renal failure NOW and that has scared the living daylight a out of me. We talked a long time about this. I'll end here and write more tomorrow.
