myth or fact

Is it true if your anemic it can influence a1c test results I am not diabetic but am very hypoglycemic. My results said I was at a 5.7 is this considered pre diabetic ?

Welcome to the forum! :)

An A1c of 5.7% equates to an average blood glucose level of 117 mg/dl.

See the Pre-Diabetes information here:

That's a good question. I'm curious to get more info on that also since I was diagnosed 3 days ago as prediabetic with my A1c at 5.8
I wasn't put on any meds but today I started monitoring my glucose and the finger pokes aren't as bad as I thought thankfully. I know from blood work that I'm anemic so I wonder if that has any impact on A1c also.
