4 YO Diagnosed Monday. Scared and clueless parents!
 

Hello - we took our 4 year old son in for a cough on Monday and found out he is T1 diabetic. We are still in the why him stage and welcome any tips, suggestions and kind words as we move forward into territory we know nothing about.

I am sorry to hear of your son's diagnosis. Many of us have been where you are right now. Learn everything that you can about your son's condition. Learn how to count carbs, it works! Listen to your Endocrinologist and your Diabetes Educator, if you have questions, then ask them to explain. Look for a Diabetes Support Group in your area. Good Luck with your son's control and management.
