I I am a type two diabetic. I was recently in the ER with a blood sugar of 330. I now realize I can't for myself anymore. My doctor put me on Januvia and metformin. After only a week with diet and exercise I am now consistently below 200 with a blood glucose recently of 142 after eating. I'm just hoping that they stay low and I can continue this I just need the support.

Welcome to the Forum! :)

It generally takes about a month for the Meds to work and to get your control procedures squared away. You most likely won't be able to get them down to a reasonable level overnight.

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.
