I am a newbie to Glucose buddy and eager to explore!

Hello buddies,
My name is Shalini and 38 yrs old female and live in Canada. I am type 2 diabetic. I was introduced to Glucose buddy by a research group who are researching on how people with diabetes can efficiently manage their diabetes using this website and logging in the readings. I was approached by my doctor's office and i agreed to participate in this research and hoping that by using this website i will be able to manage my diabetes better.
I was diagnosed with Type 2 in 2005 after giving birth to my second child. it was believed to be gestational and was checked after 6 months and i showed high readings and then the doctor started me on pills and have been taking it since then.
My readings are pretty stable and i check once a week. I am a vegetarian and my regular diet includes vegetables, rice and fruits. I walk half hr atleast 3 times a week. I am planning to start yoga shortly to keep myself fit.

Welcome to the Forum! :)

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.
