just diagnosed
 

Not sure what to do. 54,great life, kids etc. just finished 1st week. 1000 met per day plus 10 units per night increasing every three days until levels are 120 or below. Feeling depressed. #'s were coming down then spiked. Can anybody make me feel better? Will I get regulated? I'm completely committed but feel like my worlds coming to an end. Thanks

Diet and exercise are your two best friends right now. It will get better!

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.
