HI

hello,

My name is Mark and I was told on April 1, 2014, that my BS was too high and my Dr wanted me to start testing twice a day, in the morning when I get up and two hours after my dinner. My numbers are ok I think, under the limits the Dr gave me. The only problem I'm having is with my morning numbers, up around 125-130. I'm being told I need a bed time snack, any one have any good suggestions?

thank you,

Welcome to the Forum! :)

I have found that a handful of almonds work for me. Do a tag search on this website for "Dawn Phenomenon".

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better. Good luck with your control and management.
