when I go to the site my security thingy pops up every time I click on anything. I know there is a trusted site option, which I have added, but I still get the security popup

Take a look at your browser help, there should be security settings for this.

The site SSL certificate was expired, appears to be fixed now. That was also a likely cause for sync to fail in the app itself the last few days. Don't know if that is fixed since I have moved on to a different app due to poor support here.
