Welcome to the Forum!

Read through the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance, if you have not already done so. These threads will most-likely help you a lot. Self education is one of the keys to successful management of your diabetes, along with a healthy / sensible diet and exercise. Basically, diabetes requires a life-style change for the better.

Pay particular attention to the Carb Counting 101 thread. Most of us use third party software mentioned near the end of that thread to log food and calculate carbs. Good luck with your control and management.

Like the first person, I really wanted a site to track carbs and make my life easier. I was really disappointed this site doesn't do that. I put in a request yesterday through to the site support e-mail address and haven't heard back yet from them. If I can't keep track of everything in one place it's not really useful to me. Does anyone else feel the same way?

It would be nice to have an app that does it all, but I have yet to find one. I have been logging blood glucose, meds (insulin) and carbs for years. I use a third party app to log food (carbs) and it works very well for me, since it is web-based pretty much like GB in that I can see all the food data from the website. Using this method may be a bit of an aggravation and have a slight learning curve, but the end result is worth it. It becomes second nature, after a week or so of using the two apps and inputting the carb data into the GB App. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Reference for third party app software.

Hey thanks for the response Dano but MyNetDiary now costs $9.99, not free. Maybe just me but the restaurant one, I couldn't find either. Maybe want to check your links before you send them out. BTW I did find the links you gave the first guy who posted (same ones you gave me) and tried them out by looking at the Type 2 thread you recommended earlier with the same results. So please tell me how you track your carbs with this app. & please understand I am not your typical person who lives on their device. Thanks!

No, it's still free, I just downloaded it for my son an hour ago. There are 3 different versions of it, so look for the free one. Click on the blue "Reference" in my previous post. The links all still work, I just checked them!
