Hi fellow diabetics!
I have type 2(1-1/2) diabetes. I had gestational diabetes in both pregnancies when I was 16 & 19 years old. I was diet controlled & this was before meters were available in 1976 so I had no idea what my levels were. I was diagnosed again with type 2 in 2000 a month after I completed my 1st half marathon. I've never had a weight problem & exercised regularly. I'm on levimer basal insulin & apidra bolus insulin. I also take 1000 mg of metformin xr twice a day. Last a1c was 7.4
