I am a senior in high school and I graduate in a month. I was just diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and I'm not so sure I want to move away from home being so new to this disease. I was wondering if there is anybody out there willing to help me make my decision to go away to school or stay at a community college in my town to get a better handle on things. Please and thank you!!

Four (4) months should be ample time for you to get into a routine. Test often and take the diabetes bull by the horns. Control your diabetes, don't let your diabetes control you!

Hey buddy! I'm a sophomore in college and I was just diagnosed about a month ago. You'll have a whole summer to prepare so I say go for it. Don't let it hold you back!

I just got diagnosed today and I am 21 at Texas a&m I'm really scared as well but my advice is you can't let it hold you back.
