We are Sara and Thor and out beautiful 5 year old boy was just diagnosed with type 1. We are 1.5 weeks into it. Anyone else have a kid our age?

I am sorry to hear of your son's diagnosis. There are several parents here with children five years and younger. Feel free to visit and post in the "Parents of Children with Diabetes" section. Read and learn all that you can about your son's condition. Self education is one of the keys to successfully control and manage diabetes, along with a nutritional diet and exercise.
