found out today I am type 1
 

Hi everyone. My name is Kevin.i am 28 and i just found out today that I have type 1 diabetes. I just started using the app today also. I am a little scared and nervous. Bit I think with the help of my wife we can manage this.

The best advice that I can give to you, is to urge you to take the bull by the horns. Learn everything that you can about your condition. Doctors don't seem to tell you everything that you need to know. Find a Doctor, Endocrinologist and a Nutritionist that will work with you as your diabetes "team". Get involved! Find a "Support Group". Learn to Count Carbs so that you can calculate your bolus injection. Good Luck with your control and management.

My cousins little girl has type 1 too. It takes discipline and support. I'm glad your wife will be there for you. My cousin has always said its not a death sentence, just a health statement!
