from high to lower

My blood sugars tend to run very high over 300 unually high 300's Recently they have been averaging 173 which is good but I feel different is that nomal? I dont know how to explain how I feel its just different. Is it because I cut my blood sugars in half?

Yes, most-likely you are feeling low, but when you do a blood glucose check you find that your numbers are slightly high or even in the normal range. This is all part of getting your numbers "in the normal range" after being high for a long period of time. Generally, when you get your blood sugar "in the normal range", the low blood sugar "feelings" will subside, once you get used to the more normal blood sugars.

Read the first three treads in the Type 2 Section, they will help you a lot.

6 months ago I was averaging
300 also. Right now my avg is 151. I exercise daily and watch what I eat like a hawk. With my weight and sugar coming down I too feel strange at times, but I know the feeling comes from my body getting use to the adjustments. Hang in there, it gets better

Thanks I figured thats what it was I am down to 145 my doctor is adjusting my insulin and that seems to have helped lower my blood sugars that and I started excersizing and watching what I eat. It will just take some time to get used to the lower blood sugars this is the first time since I became diabetic that I get them this low.

Most literature (ADA's DIABETES Magazine) etc and doctors recommend 80 - 110 before meals as desired but each case should be as young diabetes team establish with you. I think a goal of the above is a good place aim.
