My blood sugar is all over the place!

Ok. This is driving me nuts!

I typically have numbers of 120-ish fasting and 140-ish after meals. Not great I know. I'm working on it.

I have started doing a 20 minute exercise routine every night. That always seemed like it worked. Last night before the exercise I was at 177 then after 20 minutes - 123.

Sucess!

Then before bed (and hour and a half later) I was at 166. HUH?

who hours after I woke up this morning....215. HUH?????

Background of yesterday: I didnt eat a ton until dinner. Went out to dinner at a friends house and had Chicken pot pie. Which was not smart, I admit. Then last night I only slept 4 hours.

Does anything think it was because of the lack of sleep with the combined eating poorly for dinner? My workout last night was extra intense because I had the guilt of eating pot pie. :(

I'm so lost.

It was most-likely not from the lack of sleep. However, if you were stressing over the lack of sleep then that may have had a effect.

The dinner is most-likely the culprit and it depends on where you ate. For example: A chicken pot pie from KFC is 66 carbs, Cracker Barrel is 45 carbs and Bob Evans is 63. At any rate you most-likely ate more than 50 carbs during your meal. Read the first three threads in the Type 2 Section, when you get a chance. They will help you a lot.
