Hi, hope someone can help me with this. I noticed when drinking a cup of coffee with creamer, no sugar, it raises my blood sugar.
Is that true or not?

Interesting and I tested mine too (100 Before / 121 After - 1 cup + Milk + 1 Splenda).

Although coffee is brewed with water, drinking coffee makes the kidneys excrete more water than normal. This dehydrating action can change your body fluid's natural balance of electrolytes, acidic compounds and alkaline compounds. I think there is a better explanation. Caffeine is a stimulant that jogs the sympathetic nervous system. That causes a rise in blood glucose levels. Same thing is seen with asthmatics that use an albuterol inhaler. Any stimulant drug will do the same thing (caffeine, albuterol, amphetamines, theophylline, etc.)
The amount of sugars in the small amount of milk used as a creamer in a cup of coffee would not be expected to affect BG much.
