Hypersensitive to BG levels

Can anyone else feel when their BG levels go above a certain point? I can tell immediately when my numbers are above 150, and the higher they go the stronger the reaction For example, I just tested at 240 more than an hour ago because I was feeling headachey, blurred vision, fidgeting, irritability, etc.

The symptoms are basically the same for high and low blood sugars, except for the shakes associated with the low. I can generally tell the lows, but the highs - not so much.

I feel if I hit 150, and I'm familiar enough with it that I can tell between 150 and 160, 170, 200, and 225. Each one has a different effect. I've checked all of this with my meter and verified it every time.

I agree, the symptoms are the same for both high and low levels of glucose. So if you feel the symptoms, such as light-headed, dizzy, confusion, or headache, don't always assume it means your glucose is low. Always confirm by testing.

The other day, I was a couple hours late getting dinner. I was having the above symptoms, and I assumed my glucose was low since I hadn't eaten for quite a while. However, I did remember to check my levels, and although I had not eaten, my glucose level was 189mg/dl. I don't know why it was so high after going without eating for several hours. I think I just ate some protein, no carbs, and I did start to feel better after that. Later, at bedtime, my glucose level had gone down to 157mg/dl--better, but still not great.
