Insulin pump
Hello,
I am 14 years old and I am going to have insulin pump. I don īt know which type i have to choose. Can you tell me, which pump is the best? Thank you for any reply Pippo |
Pippo;
Welcome to the Forum! :) I am sorry to say that I don't know anything about the pumps and I can't answer your question. However, we do have a Pump Section and you may find your answer there. I hope the information helps. |
I've tried both the animus and minimed pumps and personally I like animus. The screen is much clearer with a better more user friendly layout
|
Animus ping can't go wrong it's even water proof. I go swimming with it all the time
|
Get the animas. I have a Medtronic pump and I'm waiting for the warranty to run out so I can get the animas
|
I have the new omni pod I learned about at camp Sweeney. It's small and water proof. I used to have the minimed insulin pump.
|
Well pippo get the omni pod or minimed. But I'm 10 so research it first. But I've hade a pump for 6 years
|
I say get the Animus as well - it's waterproof! I go swimming and snorkeling with mine all the time...
I've been on the Deltec Cozmo (no longer made) and the Medtronic MiniMed as well - Animas is much better - cool clear color screen and waterproof - VERY durable! Omnipod is cool, but I'm a small/thin girl and I didn't want the big pod sticking out of my body/showing under my clothes - I'd rather just keep the pump in my pocket or clipped to my under garments. Besides, with a pump, you can suspend and just take it off if you need to - with Omnipod, if you have to take it off, you waste all that insulin. Either way, it greatly depends on your lifestyle more than anything else. good luck! |
