Hello from Northern Virginia--
I've had Type 1 since 1965 when a senior at Boston College. Went into Joslin to learn about this disease at the time when testing was just urine and needles where big and left black & blue marks.
I have been lucky with complications because I watched my diet and exercised a lot. Did have a heart attack 10 years ago and got revived by the EMT's after 7 paddle shots. A triple bypass fixed me and I feel pretty good today at 65. Still active--ski and run, but my big problem is passing out with Low Sugars. My wife often has to call 911 to revive me. I need to refine this better and hopefully Glucose Buddy will help. Moe |
Moe;
Welcome to the Forum! I am glad that you are doing well. Having diabetes for 45 years, with little complications, is a great feat. Congratulations! You are an inspiration to us all. |
