Hi all. I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for over 10 years. My father also had it. He ended up using insulin injections. So far we have been able to control mine with oral medications (metformin, januvia & now actos). Unfortunately, I have been going through a slump stage with both checking my daily sugar and watching my diet. That is how I found this site -- well actually the Glucose Buddy app (which I absolutely love)!
I am nearly 45 years old. I grew up in South Carolina but now live in Ohio. I am married with no children (3 fur kids -- a basset hound & 2 cats). I am a Christian and active in my church. I love to read, to play world of warcraft, and talking! I am a friendly outgoing person who is tolerant of others.
